It's great when kids are at that age where they'll so sweet and will believe anything you tell them.

That doesn't last long.  They figure you out pretty quick.  Now I don't recollect if I ever stretched the truth like this, but I'm guessing I did.  It's the type of thing I'd resort to.

3. "This isn't soda, it's black water, you wouldn't like it."
4. "They don't sell replacement batteries for that toy."
5. "Chuck E. Cheese is only for birthday parties. You have to be invited to one to go there."
