CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Casper police chief says three people are dead after an attack at a Wyoming community college that locked down the school for several hours.

Police Chief Chris Walsh says two of the three were found dead at a science center on the Casper College campus.  The third was found dead about two miles southwest of campus.

Police say a suspect used a sharp-edged weapon, killed two people and committed suicide.

One of those killed was a faculty member. Authorities aren't identifying the suspect or those killed, except to two are male and one is female.

Police found two of those killed at a science building on the Casper College campus, and the third at another location about 2 miles away.

The science center was evacuated and the campus was locked down following the attack that happened just before 9 a.m.

The lockdown at the two-year school had ended by early afternoon.

Casper, population 56,000, is about 250 miles northwest of Denver.
