City leaders met at an informational meeting Tuesday regarding the construction planning of a new city administration office building just west of the public library on Dakota Avenue.

The three-story building would have a similar design to the courthouse and would leave the third floor unfinished for future growth. Plans include a facelift for the adjacent Van Eps Park.

The total projected price is just under $22 million and would be financed over a 20 year span with bonds.

City council members each asked several questions and commented there were many more questions to be asked in the future before moving forward.
