This Saturday, you can experience the different nationalities from around the world without even leaving Sioux Falls.

This is the weekend the Sioux Empire gets to show off its cultural diversity as the Lutheran Social Services Center for New Americans presents the 20th annual Taste of Cultures event, happening this year at The District, located at 4521 West Empire Place, in Sioux Falls.

The event kicks off at 6:30 PM that night with cocktails and food, at 8:00 PM the entertainment begins with music performances and dancing and the evening will wind up with a social mixer starting at 9:00 PM.

LSS director, Tim Jurgens, spoke with our news-gathering partners KDLT News to say, the event is all about displaying, embracing, and celebrating the diversity of cultures in the area. He said in the past 20 to 25 years, a number of people from around the globe have settled here in the city, and there are about 35 nationalities represented in Sioux Falls.

If you would like to attend this years event, tickets are $40. VIP tickets which include premium seating, wine tasting, and five raffle tickets will run $80 for the evening. All seats are reserved.
